Margie Scalley Vaught has over 20 years experience in healthcare with extensive expertise in medical coding and compliance. She served on the board of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for three years, is an approved PMCC Instructor for the Academy, and provides technical support to the AAPC. She is also a National Advisory Member for the Board of Advanced Medical Coding. Ms. Vaught’s expertise and credentials include: Professional Credit Executive (1996); Certified Coding Specialist; certification from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA); and Medical Compliance Specialist from AHIMA. She is a nationally recognized speaker and serves on the editorial and consulting advisory boards of many health management and coding publications.
